Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA) is pleased to announce that it has been accredited as an ICAO FIATA Training Center.

The International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) approval grants GAA the ability to offer FIATA’s industry standard Dangerous Goods program as well as other FIATA programs.

FIATA is the largest non-governmental organization in the field of transportation. Its influence is worldwide representing 40,000 forwarding and logistics companies and employing 8 to 10 million people in 150 countries. FIATA has consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations.

GAA is pleased that it is the first and only academy in the Kingdom of Bahrain to obtain this certification and it joins Oman and Tunisia as the only countries in the GCC and MENA region with FIATA Centres.

“I am proud to announce the Gulf Aviation Academy’s significant achievement of being the first Academy in Bahrain to obtain the ICAO FIATA Certification.

This program further broadens GAA reach and makes courses available in our beloved Kingdom that are in demand but were unavailable till now. GAA’s qualified instructors can plan out the program using both conventional and online methods which makes the delivery of the program extremely flexible and accommodating especially given the COVID19 situation.

I would like to thank FIATA for showing confidence and trust in GAA and this certification marks the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship in the field of training.”

“Having GAA certified as an ICAO FIATA Training Centre adds the Kingdom of Bahrain to a handful of certified countries and allows us to offer FIATA’s world-class Dangerous Goods programs by granting participants the ability to partake in the FIATA’s programs locally without the need to travel abroad. The program will be highly customizable to fit the needs of the local and regional market.”

“FIATA welcomes the GAA as its first training centre in Kingdom of Bahrain approved to deliver the ICAO FIATA Dangerous Goods by Air Training Program. The GAA has vast experience in the field of Dangerous Goods and Training. Their flexibility to incorporate the latest technology positions them effectively to service the needs of DG training throughout the GCC. We look forward to a fruitful and engaging relationship with the GAA in order to enhance the safety and compliance of the air cargo supply chain.”
