This Marine Environmental Awareness Training program contains important up-to-date knowledge, familiarization, and regulations that seafarers and shoreside staff now require, as a matter of strict environmental compliance and oversight. The course is based on the IMO model course 1.38 and meets the requirements of STCW Chapter VI
The aim of the course is to ensure that the participant achieves the necessary theoretical knowledge and leadership abilities to implement and maintain the required documents and procedures for all activities to preserve surrounding environments from the garbage produced on board
Personnel working on:
A minimum written test score of 70%. Students that fail the test will undergo remediation and be allowed 1 retest. A second failure requires repeating the course before they may take the test again. Student must satisfactorily perform hands-on evolutions as required by USCG
Upon completion of this course candidate will be awarded with the Certificate of Proficiency in Environmental Awareness training. The certificate will be issued by GAA and is accepted by Bahrain’s Ports and Maritime Affairs Directorate.
