Duration : 40 Days (240 Hours)
This training which will be complimented with STCW basic safety training and STSDSD, participant will be ready to become a skilled Engine Mechanic in marine industry. This training meets with STCW standards and Flag state requirements. It will brief candidate about Marine Engineering, Electro Technology, watch keeping procedures, shipboard maintenance and emergencies
The course will train the participant with basic knowledge of machinery, electrical system, engine room watch keeping, maritime security, repair & maintenance works and emergency preparedness.
Personnel working on:
A minimum written test score of 70%. Students that fail the test will undergo remediation and be allowed 1 retest. A second failure requires repeating the course before they may take the test again. Student must satisfactorily perform hands-on evolutions as required by USCG.
Upon completion of this course candidate will be awarded with the Certificate of Proficiency in Basic Studies for Mechanic Training and attendance certificate. The certificate will be issued by GAA and is accepted by Bahrain’s Ports and Maritime Affairs Directorate
