This course explains various parameters which will help Galley crew to maintain hygienic and healthy food atmosphere. Will learn about personal health and hygiene, Hazards & control, Cross contamination, food preparation, handling & food storage and other hazards. Modules has development keeping MLC and Flag state compliance into considerations.
Aim is to train Cook, steward and other galley staff with key feature of personal health & hygiene, food preparation, food & store management and related precautions. Make them aware of the hazards and cause of hazards.
Personnel working on:
A minimum written test score of 70%. Students that fail the test will undergo remediation and be allowed 1 retest. A second failure requires repeating the course before they may take the test again. Student must satisfactorily perform hands-on evolutions as required by USCG.
Upon completion of this course candidate will be awarded with the Certificate of Proficiency in Advance Food and Hygiene Training. The certificate will be issued by GAA and is accepted by Bahrain’s Ports and Maritime Affairs Directorate.
