DGR 7.6.A: Personnel Responsible for planning of Aircraft Loading – Initial / Recurrent

Target Group

The course is designed to guide you in the tasks and responsibilities to ensure that you are competent to perform your job function and be in full compliance with the regulations. It has been designed as per IATA’s DGR – section 1.5 and in accordance with function 7.6 in IATA’s ‘Dangerous Goods Training Guidance’.

Course Content

  • Understanding the basics of dangerous goods
  • Recognizing dangerous goods
  • Identifying forbidden and hidden dangerous goods
  • Plan loading of an aircraft
  • Issuance of NOTOC

Course Objectives

Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify and classify dangerous goods
  • Interpret hazard communication
  • Detect hidden dangerous goods in cargo and mail
  • Plan loading in case dangerous goods are involved
  • Prepare and issue NOTOC

Pre-requisites

  • Recommended level is Entry-level and Intermediate
  • The recommended level of language proficiency is ICAO Operational Level 4 or the equivalent

Eligibility Criteria

  • Airline and ground handling personnel responsible for planning of aircraft loading
  • Operator’s and ground handling staff with roles of loadmaster or load planner
  • Operations managers and frontline supervisors of ground handling

Delivery Method

  • Classroom-based learning including lectures, exercises, case studies and final assessment

Examination

  • The participant is required to score at least 80% to pass the mastery test

Certificate Awarded

The participant will be awarded with a GAA – IATA completion certificate upon successful completion of the course.
