Program Overview
This course provides working knowledge to the airside personnel and planners who have already gained a basic knowledge of airport operations and aerodrome design and who will be required to appreciate the requirement re- declaring the Runway Declared distances, calculate and notify the declared distances as per ICAO Annex 14
Learning Objectives
After completion of this programme, the participant will be able to:
- Explain in detail how Annex 14 is used by Regulators, Airport Planners and Safety Personnel to ensure Standards are maintained
- Calculate the Declared Distances
- Apply the Standards and Recommendations of Annex 14
- Assess the Obstacles in and around Aerodromes
- Plan the markings and lightings of the obstacles
