Course Overview
This course is designed for workers who are employed in industries and organization where hazardous material is being handled, prepared, or transported. It covers categorization, descriptions, carriage criteria & precautions, labelling & packaging, stowage, First aid etc. To provide course compliant with, and meeting the requirements of, the International Maritime Dangerous Goods code, 2016 Edition.
Course objective is to train seafarer about categorization, carriage, handling and stowage of Maritime Dangerous goods as defined in International Maritime Dangerous Good code.
Personnel working on:
A minimum written test score of 70%. Students that fail the test will undergo remediation and be allowed 1 retest. A second failure requires repeating the course before they may take the test again. Student must satisfactorily perform hands- on evolutions as required by USCG.
Upon completion of this course candidate will be awarded with the Certificate of Proficiency of HAZMAT training. The certificate will be issued by GAA and is accepted by Bahrain’s Ports and Maritime Affairs Directorate.
