Program Overview

This type rating training course is intended to fulfill all training and testing requirements for the issuance of a type rating for the Airbus A320 by Bahrain Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA). This course is designed to provide the essential knowledge and enhance the skills of candidates who wish to obtain their type rating on the aircraft Airbus A320. After completing this course, a student shall be able to have a complete mastery of the aircraft, by comfortably being able to maneuver, follow procedures, and make educated decisions. With the Type Rating A320, GAA offers experienced pilots as well as beginners the qualification to fly one of the most successful models of the Airbus family. During the training we impart knowledge of systems by means of CBT & FTD and with the support of our trainers. You gain practical experience in the full flight simulator.

Course Topics

  • Theoretical training consisting of CBT, self-study lectures and several classroom sessions
  • All the practical training is performed on flat panel trainers and Full flight simulators with certification level D
  • Training & Checking
  • 44 hours of Fixed Training Device
  • 32 hours of FFS Training
  • 4 hours of skill test
  • A briefing starts 90 minutes before the flight session, whereas a debriefing takes place for an hour after the session

Pre-Course Qualifications

    All Pre-course qualification meets the Appendix 2 to ANTR FCL 1250 requirements

  • 70 hours as PIC (Pilot-in Command)
  • Valid CPL or ATPL
  • Valid ME, IR (multi-engine, instrument rating)
  • English level 4 according to ICAO requirements

Certificate Awarded

    BCAA A320 Course Completion.
